what's right for you

Many clients seek documentation specific for their business and industry.

This request is founded on an understanding that your quality program must be custom designed around your processes and type of industry. Therefore it must require a custom program.

This is true and false.

TRUE - The program must include the documentation required for your specific processes.

FALSE - The program must be created custom for your business.

Epsilon Quality was the first to identify and promote the divisions of quality documentation. By doing so we have saved companies thousands of dollars in on-site consultation. And months of development time to achieve certification.

To understand the benefits of Epsilon Quality documentation, we will examine the contents of a documented program and answer the question of What is Right for You.

documentation divisions

Quality documentation contains 2 parts or elements.

1. The Core or Administrative Elements

All documented Quality Management Systems contain similar elements. These elements are described in ISO 9001:2000.

We refer to them as Core Elements, because they are at the center of the system and the entire quality program revolves around them.

Core elements are critical to the success of all programs and they are basically the same for every company.

2. Industry Specific Elements

All documented Quality Management Systems contain elements that describe and control important company activities. ISO 9001:2000 details what must be considered in determining these elements.

We refer to them as Industry Specific Elements, because they address your unique process activities. They are supported by, and revolve around the Core Elements above.

What industry specific elements contain is different for every organization and is dependant on the processes identified as critical to your product realization.

How we identify, and considerations for controls, of the industry specific elements is detailed in ISO 9001:2000.

By identifying documentation divisions we can take advantage of pre-written documentation addressing the Core elements of a program.

We can also develop and apply the Industry Specific Elements following the ISO guidelines quickly and easily.

Review

The core elements of any Quality Management System are consistent and the same. regardless of the type or size of company.

ISO 9001:2000 tells us how to identify what we need for industry specific documentation.
